For those of you going to the Brian LeClair Annual Ice Fishing Marathon for Cancer Care, here is a schedule of events for the weekend. (click read more below to view more details)

SATURDAY MARCH 5/05

8:00 AM Site Open for:
o Registration
o Pledge Money Collections
o Purchase Bait
o Purchase Fishing License
o Fishing Location Selection
o Hole Auguring

10:00 AM Let the fishing begin!

11:00AM Media/Celebrity Challenge

Participants wishing to fish with a Media personality or Celebrity can donate $5.00 and participate in a two hour fish off. The dynamic duo ~ who catches the most fish will have their names engraved on the Media Challenge Cup. The cup will be on display at the winning media/celebrity place of employment.

1:00 PM Presentation of the Media Challenge Cup


2:00 PM Family Mini Marathon

For a donation to Cancer Care families are welcome to join the Marathon participants for 3 hours. Each family member will receive a raffle ticket to enter for the chance to win an exciting prize. Additional raffle ticket will be awarded for each fish caught and released by children sixteen years and younger.

5:00 PM Raffle Draws:
o Family Mini Marathon
o Early Bird Registration Draw


5:30 PM Dinner like never before ~ On Ice Whole Hog Roast!

Roast suckling pig, home made coleslaw, beverage and desert ~ Proceeds to CancerCare Manitoba

Sundown Event Dedication Ceremony
In memory of Brian LeClair ~ the original Walleye Warrior.

Family members are invited out to fish!

10:00 AM Grand Prize Raffle Draw

For all the Marathon Participants ~ featuring the Grand Prize 12’Lund Boat donated by Westshore Marine
